Thanks for stopping by my blog! My name is Tiffany McCauley.
I got my first taste of baking cookies when I was only 5 years old serving as a helper in my grandmother’s kitchen. She always said beside every great baker was a great helper.

Early on, my responsibilities included gathering the ingredients, washing dishes and passing the plates and utensils. It didn’t take long for the sweet, warm aroma to fill the house and overflow our platters with moist German cookies to nibble on.
By the time I was a teenager, I was “promoted” from helper to baker and worked alongside my mom and grandma.
Sadly, my grandma – “Ohma” – passed away in 1992, but her traditions and recipes live on.
In 1993, I lived in Germany for a year as an au’ pair. There, I learned more about family style baking from my host family, and received intense hands-on instruction (They take their Christmas baking VERY seriously over there!).
Today, the same wonderful aromas that filled my family’s kitchen, fill mine and bring back amazing, baking memories. Although a lot has changed since I first started baking cookies almost 30 years ago, the gentle breeze still blows through the window over the sink and carries the rich aromas throughout my home.

In addition, my husband, Michael, has declared himself my Official Cookie Tester, and takes his job very seriously. There’s a new helper on board now too – my 1 year old son Jordan keeps me company while I bake.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you’ll leave a comment!
Happy Baking!
Tiffany
