Admit it. You eat dough. I know you do. At the very least, you sample it when you’re baking cookies. Did I mention I’m a mind reader? Yep… you eat dough. Any today I’m going to share a recipe that will take that dough you’ve been munching on to the next level.

This unique and wonderful cookie has some unexpected ingredients. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never put cornflakes in my cookies. It just never occurred to me to do so, and I’ve never run across a recipe that called for it…. until now.

A Very Sexy Cowboy……. Cookie

December 24th, 2009

If ever there was a rugged cookie, this is it. A cookie that could saunter into a room in a hat and boots and make every woman’s head turn. A cookie with ripples and ridges in all the right places. A cookie so full of hot goodness, you just can’t help but stand up and grab it by it’s strong, hardy, ripley middle and plunge your teeth into it.

German Holiday Oatmeal Cookies

December 20th, 2009

This recipe for German Holiday Oatmeal Cookies from The Gracious Pantry is one of my favorites because of it’s versatility.

The recipe itself is for a healthier basic oatmeal cookie dough that you can add all kinds of flavorful ingredients to.

November’s Secret Ingredient was Cranberries. Not very original, I know. But I love cranberries, so I went with it anyway.

The competitors really seemed to take to the idea. The recipes submitted this past month were incredible creations. In fact, my decision was incredibly difficult to say the least. I can only imagine that as more folks join the competition, choosing a winner will become more and more difficult. What a job I have, eh?

December 11th, 2009

Chocolate Chip Cookies

November 28th, 2009

I do love a good chocolate chip cookie. Few things in life give me more pleasure, comfort, warmth or a feeling of contentedness. A good chocolate chip cookie can really improve my day, regardless of how bad it’s been. I can just lose myself in the rich aroma as the sweet chocolaty waves wash over me. Follow that up with a glass of milk, and I can forget just about anything.

I gave this Spicy Mexican Chocolate Chip Cookie a try, and I’m so glad I did! They were downright yummy!

I was on twitter, where I follow @dominosugar. They had posted about a recipe on their web site called Pumpkin Scotchies. They sounded wonderful, but I wanted to come up with a naturally sweetened version since I haven’t done a naturally sweetened recipe for a while. So this is my adaptation of their recipe.

Lacy Honey Wafers

October 7th, 2009

Oh yum.
These Lacy Honey Wafers could almost qualify for a chocolate chip cookie, but not.
Did that make any sense? No? Well, you’ll know what I mean when you bake them.  My little bit of craziness will all make sense then, I promise.
I realized over the weekend (while attending the BlogHer Food Conference in San Francisco), [...]

I’ve been running across a lot of chocolate chip cookie recipes lately.
I’m not sure if it’s the time of year, or if there is just some universal force that wants me to bake more chocolate chip cookies. Either way, you won’t find me complaining. I do love me some chocolate chip cookies.
One of my goals [...]

Oh dear. I think I’ve really lost my noodles this time. Or should I say cookies. Is it better to say I’ve lost my cookies? No matter. It’s all a bit of flour one way or the other, right?
If you read my blog regularly (I’m sure you do. You do… don’t you? Of course you [...]

Well, I seem to be on a roll with the Chocolate Chip Cookie recipes.  What can I say… I’m dedicated.
I just had to share this one with you. A fabulous lady named Andrea submitted this recipe from all the way down in Arizona, and boy is this one fun for the kids! It makes a [...]

I’m going out on a limb here. I sorely need a new camera. So instead of trying to capture this event with my current camera, I thought I’d try filming it and taking the photos off my flip camera. The photos are not what I usually post here, but I thought they were cute enough to [...]

So if you haven’t already guessed, this week is all about Chocolate Chip Cookies. I didn’t actually plan it this way, it just sort of turned out like that.
I had a bunch of chocolate chip cookie recipes just waiting to be tested, and I just couldn’t put it off any longer (Gee, what a hard [...]

It’s a sickness. I realize this. They should make medication for people like me. Is there some sort of stalker law for cookies? I should be locked up.
Here is yet another wonderful recipe for chocolate chip cookies. But this one adds almonds! Ya, these are pretty tasty.
If I die and go to Heaven, there will [...]

I have to apologize. I really can’t help myself. My favorite cookie in the whole wide world is a really good, fresh out of the oven, chocolate chip cookie (with a glass of milk, of course).
So I just couldn’t pass up a chance to try another of these delectable recipes.
Boy, am I glad I did! [...]

If you enjoy shortbread, then these little goodies are a fantastic edition to your recipe box!
I must admit, that for some people, shortbread is an acquired taste. I think the problem stems from the fact that shortbread is not always quite as sweet as a cookie. And lets face it, when you want a real [...]

If you like a surprise in your cookies, I’ve got a fabulous surprise for you today!
The filling in these Almond and Chocolate Filled Butter Cookies is to die for! Ground almonds, vanilla sugar and mini-chocolate chips make up the filling in these delectable little morsels. There’s also cinnamon in the dough. Is that not a [...]

Well, when it comes to my man, truer words were never spoken. As long as he has time with [...]

Malted Milk Ball Cookies

July 9th, 2009

Sigh ~ Oh my, oh my. I’ve died and gone to heaven. I haven’t had Whoppers in so long. Years and years actually. It’s jut not the first sweet treat I think of when I’m at the store. But these cookies have changed all that for sure.
Remember eating Whoppers as a kid? That first shot [...]

I have a rather unusual cookie for you today.
When I say unusual, I don’t mean weird or icky tasting, I just mean different. This is not a Nestle’s Toll House cookies. This is different. Good-different.
This cookie has a very deep flavor. Almost “nutty”, but not quite. I would almost call the flavor “rich”, but that [...]

In fact, I may have created the perfect cookie here. You see, in addition to what the recipe asks for, I also added 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the food processor when I ground the pecans, and [...]
