November’s Secret Ingredient was Cranberries. Not very original, I know. But I love cranberries, so I went with it anyway.

The competitors really seemed to take to the idea. The recipes submitted this past month were incredible creations. In fact, my decision was incredibly difficult to say the least. I can only imagine that as more folks join the competition, choosing a winner will become more and more difficult. What a job I have, eh?

These cookies are not only yummy, but oh so pretty to look at too!

October’s Secret Ingredient was squash. Any kind of squash. So long as it made it into the recipe, it qualified.

What I found interesting about this recipe, was that it didn’t call for any squash in particular. It just called for squash.

So I tried mine with pumpkin, because that’s what I usually have laying around this time of year. Plus, the recipe calls for pumpkin pie spice, so I thought pumpkin would be a fitting squash to use.
