The competitors really seemed to take to the idea. The recipes submitted this past month were incredible creations. In fact, my decision was incredibly difficult to say the least. I can only imagine that as more folks join the competition, choosing a winner will become more and more difficult. What a job I have, eh?

I have to tell you, these Apple Cinnamon Shortbread Cookies are especially good. No matter which version of this recipe you bake, you’ll end up with something delicious.

Well, I’ve finally tired of trying to reinvent the wheel…. sort of. I thought, this time, instead of trying to create my own cookie recipe from scratch, I’d try and adapt a recipe already floating around the Internet.

Oy, I found a good one! Not to sure the kids will like this, but they are really yummy for us grown-ups. After all, we need our kiddie-treats too, right?

I recently had the pleasure of being asked to participate in a virtual celebration for the release of the new cook book, Park Avenue Celebration.

The photographs in the book were all taken inside Park Avenue Apartments and Country Homes. I think you will love the design element of this book as well. It offers advice on how to celebrate in style with a compilation of sensational recipes, entertaining ideas, party-planning tips, and personal anecdotes from New York’s most celebrated hostesses. Award-winning food writer and contributing* New York Times* columnist, *Florence Fabricant* authors and edits each recipe as well as contributes to the book.

A couple of months ago, I had this idea to start a cookie baking challenge. At the time, I thought I’d be lucky if 2 people entered.
