If there ever was an old fashion cookie, this Chewy Molasses Ginger Cookie is it!
Fresh grated ginger and Black Strap Molasses are the flavor foundation for these oldies but goodies. These are the cookies your grandma grew up on. The kind of cookies that families used to enjoy together at the table with a tall glass of milk, hot cocoa or a cup of tea.
Yep, these puppies will take you back to a time you probably never lived in. A time many of us wish we still lived in that was a happier, more care-free, recession-proof kinda time, when things were good, mom’s were at home, families were happy and the “Beaver” was every kid on the block. When all cars were oldies but goodies, and so was the music playing on the radio. A time when everybody knew how to dance to the Woodchopper’s BallĀ and Sam Cooke crooned about life, love and being “born by the river”.
Yes, these cookies will take you back just a bit. Take you back to whatever time you’d like to go back to. So bake up a batch, pour yourself a cup of hot cocoa, and enjoy the sweet and tasty ride.
Happy Baking!
