Honey Bee Cookies

November 5th, 2009

It’s always a good day when you can go from this…..

Honey Bee Cookies

To this….

Honey Bee Cookies

In just 10 minutes.

These fantastic Honey Bee Cookies are the perfect comfort cookie. Chewy and perfectly flavored, the aroma that fills your kitchen as you bake them is amazing.

It takes me back to my childhood when I would come in from a long day of playing outside (remember when it was safe to do that?), and my grandmother would have a welcoming plate of cookies fresh out of the oven for me with a glass of milk.

Walking into that aromatic, bright, yellow kitchen with all it’s old fashion cabinetry and even more old fashion stove, was pure heaven for me.

Those are the memories I hope to create for my son. That warm feeling of coming home. A place of safety, love and plenty of home baked cookies.

Happy Baking!

    Tiffany,
I somehow lost you. (jk) But I forgot to add your new blog to my reader, so I wasn’t getting your updates. Well, I’m back and can’t wait to browse some of the things I missed.
I made these exact cookies a few months ago. They are homely, but de-lish!

It’s final. These are the cookies I’m baking this weekend. They sound so perfectly simple and, yes, comforting. I think you are probably creating an amazing batch of memories for your son. Home will always be full of sweetness and warmth and the smell of something lovingly made. Kudos!!

And yes, I really hope I accomplish creating that kind of home for my son. I would feel like a successful mother if I do.

Thanks for your input, but in my neighborhood, it’s not so safe. We didn’t realize what we were getting into when we bought the place. While the neighbors are very nice, right down the street are some pretty bad areas.

I’ll check out the web site though.

    Thanks.
