For Mother’s Day, I received a really pretty bottle of Maple syrup from a friend back east. To be honest, though I loved the gift, I didn’t know what I was going to do with it.
Problem solved! Maple Walnut White Chocolate Cookies to the rescue.
While I didn’t have the time to make the maple ice cream (or the room left in my jeans to eat it), I did make these wonderful cookies. I love the maple flavor. It’s not to strong and not to light. It was the perfect balance of sweet maple goodness, and walnutty yumminess.
Okay. I confess, I had my husband stop by the store on his way home from work and pick up some french vanilla ice cream. These cookies really do scream for ice cream. Room in my jeans or not, I enjoyed every bite.
Happy Baking!
