Cookie Dough

If you love to pick at the cookie dough before you bake it, you’re not alone. Who doesn’t remember eating cookie dough accompanied by stern warnings about an upset tummy?

The truth is, the only reason NOT to eat raw cookie dough is the raw egg. Raw eggs can sometimes contain salmonella, which is why we get “upset tummies” when we eat the raw dough.

That said, all you have to do is eat dough without eggs, and all will be right with the world.

So today, I have a fabulous recipe for you for raw cookie dough that you can eat to your hearts content, before you ever turn the oven on. And I promise, your mother’s warnings will not come true. No upset tummies here. I swear!

Disclaimer: Please don’t eat the whole batch of dough in one sitting. While you may not have to worry about salmonella, it might sit in your belly like a ton of unbaked bricks. So please eat responsibly.

Happy Bak…… Mixing……Eating……. You know what I mean!

You have made my day. Cookie dough that you can eat without being concerned. My kids will love this as they are always pinching bits of dough during the cooking process.

I made sure to show them your disclaimer. So now its up to them – I’m not talking about little ones here.

You have a very nice site with lots of great recipes. So glad I found you.

    Cheers

I checked out the (eggless) cookie dough recipe. Sounds interesting. I’ll give it a try. Thank you.
