While I don’t fully understand the reference to bracelets, I do have to say that these cookies make a wonderfully “ornamental” display on any platter. The colored sugar gives these cookies a rather “bejeweled” look. Don’t you think?

I realize this photo has Christmas tree ornaments in it, but the post was written during the holidays. So please forgive me this slight indiscretion. A good cookie is a good cookie no matter what time of year you bake them. Right?

These are a very light, vanilla sugar cookie. You could add any spice you like to this recipe and it would turn out well. I hold a firm belief that all sugar cookie recipes are just waiting for a little extra spice (even though they are quite tasty without). So use your imagination! Get creative. You never know what new cookie you could invent!
