Cookie Swap

The end of summer is arriving. School is right around the corner (if it hasn’t started already) and you know what that means. The holidays are coming! ~Gasp~

I know, I know. That’s not what you wanted to hear. But let’s face it. August is disappearing faster than you can blink and so is the entire rest of the year. Fall is right around the corner!

Now I admit, I’m happy about this. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I dig the cooler weather, the turning leaves and bringing out my crock pot for soups and stews. But I have to ask, where did 2009 go? Is it just me, or is time going by faster and faster? My only explanation is that the world is spinning faster. What else could it be?

But I digress (I do that a lot, don’t I?). Back to the book.

I know there are a lot of you out there who love a beautifully decorated cookie, and this book covers almost every occasion, including the “H” word.

Send some cookies to the new teacher, bake Halloween cookies with the kids, bring beautiful fall leaf cookies to Thanksgiving dinner, and then there’s always Christmas. (And those are just the holidays I celebrate! There are so many other holidays and occasions to bake cookies for!)

If you need a guide to help you get those freshly baked (and cooled, of course) cookies decorated, Cookie Swap: Creative Treats to Share Throughout the Year can help. I just can’t say enough for this book. The photos are fabulous, and the directions are simple to follow and easy to understand. What else could you ask for?

Happy Baking!
